Face-off

Regarding the face-off, is there a change in NHL14 ? I'm still using the right-stick, but I've won no face-off at all. I even lower the face-off difficulty in the settings, and I've won like 1-2 face-offs in 40-50 tries.

Any tip would be appreciated.

From what I can tell the CPU is simply harder this year and I'm glad they did it. It is why many teams in OTP choose to not use a human center. The controls are the same though and you just have to work at it.

For using your back hand to win the faceoff
- If the other person has their backhand also, pull back on the dot.
- If the other person is using their forehand to win, push up.

For using your forehand
- Mainly use the push up, but if you notice they are winning a lot still, pull back.

Idk I just use logic in how a player would block the other person winning the faceoff.

I did at first but now i win every face off. I still have a tremendous frustration with how stupid the AI is.
