READ THE RULES.

And make sure you have your roster & cap info posted in the roster thread!

[fieldset=""]Commissioners
[/fieldset]
[fieldset=""]
Game Schedule

  • Entry Draft: Wednesday, June 19
  • Free Agency Begins: TBA
    *All times ET, and subject to change.
[/fieldset]
[fieldset=""]
Salary Cap

  • The salary cap maximum for the 2013-2014 season will be $64.3M ($44M floor).
  • Teams may exceed the cap maximum by 10% ($70.73M) during the offseason.
  • Teams must comply with the salary cap by the end of the game.
  • Teams may have a roster of no more than 23 players by the end of the game.
  • Teams may sign their draft picks to contracts using the ENTRY LEVEL CONTRACT CHART
  • Backstrom #19 will be the "Capologist" and will assure that teams adhere to salary cap/roster rules (if he feels like it)
[/fieldset]

[fieldset=""]Waivers/Buyouts
  • Post in this thread if you’d like to place a player on waivers.
  • Each team has the option of sending ONE player on a 1-way contract to the minors or Europe due to cap reasons.
  • Burying a player in the minors or Europe only eliminates a maximum of $900k of their cap hit.
  • A player will be on waivers for 24 hours after the player was waived.
  • Waiver priority will be based on the current NHL standings.
  • If a team claims a player off of waivers, they then have the lowest waiver priority.
  • Each team is awarded TWO compliance buyouts before the free agency period.
[/fieldset]

[fieldset=""]Trades
  • All trades must be sent to IslesRock4 and RR or else they are not valid.
  • Once a trade is agreed upon, send it in BEFORE POSTING, and then you can announce it in the thread. A deal without a NTC or NMC does not have to be approved.
  • If a trade is announced prior to it being sent in, it will be vetoed.
  • ALL MOVES MUST BE SOMEWHAT REALISTIC. The commissioners hold the power to veto any ridiculous trades.
  • A trade involving a NTC or NMC must be sent in by BOTH GMs with a reasoning for the player to waive. The trade must be approved by BOTH trade managers prior to posting. Keep in mind it will only be on a rare occasion that a NTC or NMC is waived.
  • If a trade involving a NTC or NMC is announced before approval, it will be vetoed.
  • If a team does not have enough cap space to complete a trade that has been sent in, the trade will be vetoed.
  • Vetoed deals will require a significant re-work in order for them to be accepted.
  • If a player waives his NTC or NMC, the NTC or NMC is still valid with their new team.
[/fieldset]

[fieldset=""]Agents
  • Cyclops will be the agent for East RFAs.
  • Brian Boyle will be the agent for West RFAs.
  • Only designated veteran UFAs may sign before free agency. Negotiations will be handled by IslesRock4.

Looking to absolutely clean house. We are looking to move basically our entire NHL roster. The only two players that won't be traded are Johnny Gaudreau and Sven Baertschi.

For teams looking for top 6 forwards, Mike Cammalleri, Curtis Glencross, Jiri Hudler, and Alex Tanguay are available. We would be willing to retain salary on some of them. 3rd liners Matt Stajan and Lee Stempniak are also available.

On defense, Dennis Wideman(would retain some salary) and Mark Giordano are both available.

Looking for the best combination of prospects and young players possible.

We're looking to pretty much drastically change our team.

Tomas Fleischmann, Kris Versteeg, Sean Bergenheim, Tomas Kopecky, Scottie Upshall, Peter Mueller are all available on offense.

Ed Jovanovski and Filip Kuba are available on defense, although we may like to keep Jovanovski.

Any prospect could be moved. Bjugstad, Howden, Shore, etc. I will also hear offers on the 2nd overall, but it will have to be a major established piece in return.

Needs are a #1C, Top 4 D, Veteran #1 G. But we'll look to almost entirely re-do our forwards so we'll need everything there.

Only Huberdeau, Campbell, and Gudbranson have no chance at being moved.

Roberto Luongo is being heavily shopped with some teams already showing interest. As of this point nothing is really close though.

Alex Edler or Kevin Bieksa could be moved, ideally in a deal for a legit, top 6 forward. Would also consider a package deal involving a high pick(1st rounder) or equivalent prospect/young player.

Alex Burrows could also be moved. Don't really have a price tag on him, but am listening to offers. Main goal is to get younger and bigger up front. Would also consider a deal for a right side, puck moving defenseman.

Ryan Kesler could also be moved, but isn't likely. Would seek a package similar to the Richards/Carter trades, ie: high pick/top prospect and a good, young player. May also consider a deal for a high level winger.

David Booth/Keith Ballard are both very much available. May retain some salary in any deal.

All picks/prospects available as well as Jordan Schroeder.

Andrej Meszaros - Mainly looking to move him for prospects/picks.
Daniel Briere - Due to personal reasons, he may only be available to trade to a certain few teams. (has a NMC)
Ilya Bryzgalov - Listening to just about anything.

Mainly looking to acquire a starting goalie right now.

Pffft, didn't we see virtually the same trade last game? Copycats...

I wasn't here last game, didn't notice that trade happened. IT JUST MAKES SENSE, MAN.

Well, it makes a lot of sense. Florida gets a future shutdown 3C, and the Flyers get their young offensive defenseman. They also get a player capable of replacing what Couturier has brought thus far, although without the offensive upside (although, admittedly, I'm not very high on Couturier).

I'm on the same boat.
Anywho, I still have Laughton to develop into that very good defensive, 3rd line center.

Predators are close to naming a new head coach, who will them make decisions about the rest of his coaching staff.

All Predators on the block except Weber, Rinne, Josi, Fisher, Hornqvist, Forsberg, Bourque, Budish, Leipsic, Vesey, Hellberg, Salomaki and Ekholm.

Having the highest waiver priority is difficult. I don't want to spend my 1st choice claim and see someone better get waived afterwards. :laugh:

Have many players available including talented winger Bobby Ryan. What we're looking for is a top line LW, a top 2 d-man, and perhaps a goalie shake-up. Will post our roster tomorrow.

Luongo trade talks are heating up with at least 3 teams having made serious offers for the goaltender. And no I'm not just taking my role as faux Gillis to heart and fabricating this. :laugh:
