After unsuccessfully going after some big names in the free agency market, the Devils are very pleased to announce the signing of Dennis Wideman to a 4 year deal worth 20 million dollars which includes a partial NTC. The addition of Dennis will improve our mobility on the backend and his presence on the power play will be felt immediately.
The Devils are done all movement for the offseason and will be eagerly waiting for training camp to begin.

So, I floated this idea by IR yesterday, and I think he's so excited by it he hasn't even had the time to respond! 
In FA Game #2, what if we had to use THESE rosters? Every GM gets a different team, but they have to start with whatever the old GM left them.
I think that would be an interesting spin.

We've left some major cap flexibility, something the team hasn't done successfully in recent years. (Haven't crunched the numbers but it should be around 6-7M remaining)
Added some nice youth in Nieto, Wahl, Harrington and Tangradi, along with the picks in the upcoming draft.
