Most likely Norway's highest pick in the upcoming draft. From the Storhamar program, and now playing in Sweden. Just got called up from the Färjestad J20 team to play in the SHL and apparently had a good game:
1446834294186516482

Depending on how much time he gets in the SHL this year, he could be a very interesting player to follow in the draft.

Martin Johnsen has been great the chances he has gotten this season and Färjestad released a new norwegian prospect today. Elias Straume Vatne.

15 years old and playing in U20 in Norway and is with 10+3 shared leading goalscores with prospects atleast 4 years older than him. Look out for him..

I can add that both players had multiple SHL teams trying to sign them but it was Ole Kristian Tollefsen that brought them to Färjestad. So nice to see Norway produce good prospects

About to set an IIHF U18 Div 1A record now, with 11 points in three games. Record is 13 points in 5 games.

Voted best forward in the tourney. Gabriel Kock voted best D, another Norwegian prospect that deserves his own thread btw. He has been outstanding in the Norwegian top division all season for Vålerenga given his age. Playing big minutes partly due to a string of injuries on the team, but great skater and does almost no mistakes.

How does the winning and undefeated team get just 1 award of the 3? And the one that we got was undeserved (Elias was terrible).

Could be that Slovakia's top players only showed up for one game had something to do with it? Was a bit hard to avoid Johnsen for best Forward when he broke the scoring record and all. Watching the games on a drone-like device it was tough to call who the best defender was, but when the two Norwegians got best D and F it was a bit hard to avoid Elias vs Keller.

Martin Johnsen # 64 of European skaters in Central Scouting's final ranking. Koch # 89. https://cms.nhl.bamgrid.com/images/assets/binary/333752448/binary-file/file.pdf Guess both should have a fair shot at getting picked this year. The last Norwegain is Eskild Bakke Olsen, a 2002-model at # 107. A bit odd that he escaped the rankings last year while putting up virtually the same numbers, but made it this year probably mostly because his participation in the WC Div 1A juniors. Scouts don't look to Norway much. Lilleberg was the last Norwegian draft, also an overager that had to play WC to be noticed. When are they gonna notice this bargain? I think Johnsen will get drafted in round 5-7. He actually went down from rank 60 to 64 from the mid season ranking to now wich suprised me a bit considering how good he was at the U18 D1A.

When it comes to the other Norwegians it just depends if one team see something they like and want to take him in the later rounds. I would say that Koch and both of the Bakke Olsen brothers are in this category. Maybe Kasper Magnussen as well. Would be nice if at least one of them got drafted but i doubt it.

I was suprised when Lilleberg got drafted last year, especially as high as an early fourth rounder, so it just shows how hard the later rounds are to predict.

40 points in 35 games in Norway 1 as U20.

Not the profile to be drafted (but possibility of waiting 1 more year to see how it evolves). But the profile to be an effective player in a major European championship
