Just for some context, U15 Varsity is a crap league - other than NAX and Edge the teams lose pretty regularly to BC and AB U15AA teams in tournament play. North Shore has a bunch of kids on it that were cut from NSWC and North Van Minor U15 AA. Many parents are realizing U15 varsity is a scam and are having their kids play AA or AAA zone instead.

Kenzo’s parents are 5’2 and 5’8. He has benefited from an early growth spurt. He’s probably near capped out. His brother Koji is about the same size (BWC u18).

He has an incredible shot though and will no doubt become a more complete player as he is challenged more when he moves up.

My sister's 5'1" and my brother-in-law's 5'7". My nephew's 6'1", it's normal for Asians in the new generation to grow up to be much taller than their parents.

This is the key and we will ahve a much cleaer picture when he moves up to to a higher league like the CSSHL U15 for example.

Dupont played there as a 13 year old and dominated and is also dominating the U18s as an 14 year old.

The point is that the absolute best young talents play at the best leagues as underagers so time will tell.

His brother is 5’11. He’s 5’8. As long as he’s very good at hockey, he’s tall enough already. And if he grows to a similar height to his brother, he doesn’t need to be like a Stankoven scorer to be a high draft pick eventually or make the NHL. He’s not like 5’4, needs to grow a lot and no one is sure if he will.
