Another 2 goals, this time for SKA-1946. So he's 6+8 after 12 game for Varyagi and 2+1 after 7 games for 1946.

Really impressive. Not so tiny anymore either. 2024 is a long ways off and I know he's a late '05 but pacing at a PPG in your under 17 season in the MHL looks to be extremely rare (and this includes older guys born earlier in the year eligible for an earlier draft).

Michkov as a late '04 averaged a PPG last year. I am not comparing Demidov to Michkov - obviously MM is a phenom and displayed his ability in a variety of formats and tournaments plus had a MUCH bigger sample size. But, yeah, if Demidov keeps this up - the production is pretty rarified air and he'll certainly have to be one to watch for the very, very top of the 2024 draft.

Daniel But (2023 draft) is also putting up really strong numbers this year.

Top U-17 MHL Seasons by PPG
Kucherov: 1.02 (2009-10, June birthdate)
Michkov: 1.00 (2020-21, December birthdate, Draft-2)
Buchnevich: 0.98 (2011-12, April birthdate)
But: 0.93 (2021-22, February birthdate)
Marchenko: 0.90 (2016-17, July birthdate)
Prokopenko: 0.87 (2019-20, January birthdate)
Demidov: 0.83 (2021-22, December birthdate, Draft-2 - also at 1.17 PPG since playing with Varyargi)
Grigorenko: 0.81 (2010-11, May birthdate)
Zavgorodny: 0.80 (2016-17, August birthdate)
Denisenko: 0.79 (2016-17, June birthdate)
Ponomaryov: 0.78 (2018-19, March birthdate)
Miroshnichenko: 0.76 (2020-21, January birthdate)
Yurov: 0.72 (2019-20, December birthdate, Draft-2)

Sucks not to have Russia at Hlinka tournament - would’ve loved to see Demidov, he probably would’ve been dominant. I’ll say it again, his draft-2 numbers last year are only eclipsed by Michkov in the last decade and it sounds his growth curve is continuing to take off.

Yeah he plays wing this tournament, but I hope they will use him as a center in the future. And I don't wanna overhype him now but wow he's been really really good so far, sometimes looks like a young Malkin out there. He has great future if he continue to develop the right way.

This kid has a ton of potential. Over the last 10 years, I think only Michkov and Svechnikov were this advanced at this age. Love his hands and skating stride. Would love to see him play center full time, he could be special

Looks like Adam Fantilli out there. Big, fast, super skilled..

Only 5'11 according to Eliteprospects, i thought he was bigger watching him play

It looks like he might have grown some more. He was very small even for his age when this thread was started and had a brig growth spurt last year. He’s probably still growing. I agree he looks bigger than that.

I really hope he develops as a center.
