Hope they turn out for Lithuania rather than Switzerland when the national team comes calling. Too many talents from the weaker nations end up playing for the national side of the league they play their junior hockey. For example Belgium has had a couple of decent prospects who have rejected the call.

Stats pretty similar at the same age to Greuter and Gruber who were head of their classes respectively at the U17 level.

Looks like a 2006-born Lithuanian, Cecekovas, also has pretty good numbers at that level.

He needs to come live to Latvia and have some chance to play in Worlds or Olympic games lol.

I would love to see Lithuania rise to the level of Latvia in hockey as it would be an epic rivalry. Not likely to happen anytime soon though, hopefully this kid can turn into something

All our biggest prospects are going to play in the tournament in Poland on February 9-11th against Polish, Hungarian and Estonian U18s so that's going to be a good opportunity to take a better look at them.

that is a very unique name
Pretty run-of-the-mill name in Lithuania, eliteprospects alone have 4 entries.

So Lithuanian U18s are doing amazingly well in the friendly tournament with 4-1 win over Poland and 5-4 OT win over Hungary, kinda confirming this is going to be one of the best our U18 teams ever.

Jukna, to little surprise, is 3+2 in those 2 games.

For those super interested, highlights and games can be found on the excellent Polish Hockey Federation youtube page: https://www.youtube.com/@PolskiHokej

His first goal today was especially nice (video with timestamp):
