That's great, so we can see what McPhee's priorities are, especially after Conte said they want to draft 7 goalies.
Also great to see possible violations of the expansion draft rules and we get another free draft choice.

I think it's a good idea. I wouldn't worry too much about the players' feelings. Hopefully they're sharp enough to know where they stand with their respective teams.

This is a good move for fans and it will generate a ton of media attention.

Just a technicality, but it's "protected and available" lists.

(So, all players excluding the exempt)

Available = pending UFAs, RFAs, players who don't meet the "exposed" (contract, experience) requirements, AND the exposed players (those that meet the contract, experience requirements).
