Excluding Montreal, which franchise had the best sustained Regular Season run?

Let's ignore Montreal, say, from 1954 to 1979 (twenty-five years in a row of awesome finishes) because nobody's ever going to touch that. Only twice did they drop below .600, and both of those were winning seasons...

Which franchise/team has had the best sustained regular season run (of course, championships can be a part of it, but that's not the main focus)?

For example, I was quite impressed by Detroit's seemingly endless run of great seasons from 1995 to 2012.

Boston from 1968 to 1984 was pretty incredible, too. There were a lot of playoff disappointments (esp. to Montreal), but they finished under .600 only twice in these sixteen years.

The Washington Capitals have won 8 division titles(two more 2nd place finishes) and 3 Presidents’ Trophies from 07/08-now

In a salary cap league that’s pretty impressive.

New Jersey from 1994-2009. Finished under .600 three times, but one of those seasons resulted in the Cup in 1995.

Pittsburgh has had a run for the past decade. Only season below .600 was 2014-15 and that was a .598 winning percentage.

Flyers were a playoff team every year from '72-73 to '88-89. They led the league in points in '74-75, '79-80 and '84-85 and had the 2nd most points from '73-76, '82-83, and '84-87. They won the West in '73-74 and the Patrick Division from '74-77, '82-83, and '84-87. The only season in that run where they weren't a winning team was the last, '88-89, when they finished 36-36-8 (and they still made the Conf. finals that year).

Didn't Detroit have a ridiculous stretch up until a few years ago? Like 18 straight years making the playoffs? 1989-2017

Habs...from '79-'80 to '93-'94, they made the playoffs every year and had a strong, winning record every season but one. They also had the best overall record in the NHL over this time period, ahead of Boston and quite significantly ahead of everybody else.

Between '83-'84 and '92-'93, they played at least 10 games in the playoffs every season (that's 10 consecutive seasons). 2 Cups and 1 other finals. Carbonneau the only constant on these 10 teams.

Konstantinov was gone in 97. Fedorov in 03. Etc. You know the deal. Lidstrom was the constant.
You're right. They still kept moving along without those guys and players like Datsyuk and Zetterberg stepped right in like they didn't miss a beat.
