It's funny I couldn't find Viro in the box score. When you translate the site to English, his name becomes "Eemil Estonia".

Of course. :D Viro is Estonia in finnish.

There are last names like Ruotsi (Sweden), Suomi (Finland) Viro (Estonia), Norja (Norway), Tanska (Denmark), Saksa (Germany) playing in hockey.

Jesse Ruotsi
Eemeli Suomi
Mika Norja
Eemil Viro
Joonas Tanska
Hannu Saksa

All playing hockey.

Viro signed to ELC - probably will stay at TPS Turku.
Kotkansalo moves from Ässät to HIFK Helsinki.
Albin Grewe will join Ilves Tampere.

Finland seen as a nice development platform. :)

Also Kivenmäki -> Pelicans.
I think they have to sign Kotkansalo by August to keep his rights.

Red Wings Prospect Pipeline Deep Dive: Eemil Viro

- LD Eemil Viro, TPS - yesterday Viro was playing as 1st pair Defenceman for TPS. Haven't seen the games. Has played only 1 game, 18:54min. TPS was blown pretty bad by Champion Lukko, but no minuses for Viro.

- LD Kasper Kotkansalo, HIFK - Kotkansalo not anymore Wings property, his RFA rights end at August 15th.

- W Albin Grewe, Ilves - did saw him first time live, Ilves had two pre-season games ith two totally different roster. On first one, more stacked roster - he was a 4th liner. On second game, more junior-weighted roster, he was put to 1st line. Has played 15:12 on average in these two games, and is -2. Worst on the team. 4 shots.

- LW Otto Kivenmäki, Pelicans - hasn't played yet on pre-season. Is rehabbing from some injury.

Jesse Pulkkinen is an interesting prospect. Very Yzerman type.

- Huge 6'6 tall
- Skates well for his size
- Late bloomer
- Has untapped offensive potential and skill
- Makes bonehead plays, but those a coachable.

Not maybe in the first round?

If Yzerman likes someone he will take him much earlier, Seider, Danielson or trade up for him Cossa , Buium. Dont know if Silayev better than Pulkkinen
