Fans have voted in a sequence of threads for their post-1993 favourites team, and this is the result. I've re-arranged some of the lines so that the players are paired competently, regardless of Carbo being the coach. Looking back on this, how do you feel about the past 25 years?

Coach: Guy Carbonneau
Assistant coach: Jacques Martin

Roster
Pacioretty-Koivu-Kovalev
Galchenyuk-Damphousse-Radulov
Cammalleri-Eller -Gallagher
Kostitsyn-Plekanec-Zednik
Recchi

Weber Subban
Markov-Sourray
Hamrlik-Odelein
Brisebois

Price
Theodore

Ranking:

1) Saku Koivu
2) PK Subban
3) Andrei Markov
4) Alex Kovalev
5) Carey Price
6) Brenden Gallagher
7) Vincent Damphousse
8) Alexander Radulov
9) Max Pacioretty
10) Lars Eller
11) Alex Galchenyuk
12) Tomas Plekanec
13) Michael Cammalleri
14) Sheldon Sourray
15) Jose Theodore
16) Shea Weber
17) Roman Hamrlik
18) Richard Zednik
19) Andrei Kostitsyn, Marc Rechi (tie)
21) Shayne Corson, Pierre Turgeon (tie)
23) Lyle Odelein
24) Patrice Brisebois
25) Mark Streit

Interesting that the only Hall of Famer ended up as an extra forward.

I think that Recchi might have done better had he not decided to play doctor.
Don`t know if he`s ever been asked about those comments since he retired. Would be interested to hear his take now.

The guy was a great competitor. I remember when the Pens thought he was done and he was very vocal about saying he would prove them wrong...and he did.

One of the most consistent offensive players of his era.

I still don't understand why the traitor Recchi got on that team.

Otherwise, pretty darn good team.

A little weak on the center line for a best-of-25-years, but still good enough team to be a dynasty... compared to the other teams current regular lineups. A lot of firepower and skill from everywhere on the ice. If they play against other teams best-of-25 though, my opinion would be different! :P

Bonus question: How would that team fare in a Olympic Hockey Tournament? With/without NHLers?

Edit: Imagine the Power Play, which was already one of Carbo's strong points back then...

Wait wait wait wait

AKost, Chucky and Radu together, you'd get the party line

Hamr and Ode to back em up

And Theodore as erhh... provider of finer things

Only guy missing would be Ribs

Lars Eller at 10... Y'all really like this player like that? Overrated.

He should be on the 4th line. Plekanec in his prime >>>> Eller.

And f*** Andrei Kostitsyn.

Much better with Eller on the 4th line for sure.

This is probably a dynasty.
