France has a good chance if they stop playing "crossing the ball to Giround"
Put Griezman up front middle Payet & Martial on wing.
Pogba +Kante+Matudi in midfield.
This team has a good shot, but they have to put Giround on the bench

France looks good. Home side. You're forgetting my boy Anthony Martial though!!

And of course zee Germans are going to be contenders.

I don't think Spain is as good as they once were when they were powerhouses...

What about the cursed Three Lions?

Will enjoy being German for my usual 1 month every two years.

Will enjoy seeing how England manages to screw things up.

Will enjoy that Greece didn't make it to try and play every game to a 0-0 result.

Hoping Iceland and Wales do well.

Happy for Payet. Was the best player on the pitch for either team, and has really come into his own this year. Doesn't seem like too bad a guy, either.

Anyway, I have (from QF on)

Croatia over Poland
England over Hungary :)D)
Spain over Germany
France over Portugal

England over Croatia
Spain over France

Spain over England

I won't pretend I know **** about these tourneys but I enjoy watching them.

Hate France, Spain and Portugal anytime I've seen them play

I hope poland upsets a few teams

I agree with pretty much all of this, except I don't pretend to be German, although I am a fan of the team.

I actually won't be surprised if Poland wins the group, as Germany struggled in qualifying.

Italian guy here.

Just curious to see what they will do. This is the worst italian squad that I've every seen, but they are well coached.

Sadly i have to agree, this is one of the most lackluster squads the Azzurri have assembled in years. They're not bad per-say just genuinely lack any star power, as well as having the countries best two midfielders injured doesn't help one bit. It will be interesting to see what type of strategy Conte will enforce, he is definitely not a defensive minded tactition but it may be the only way they make it out of the group stage.

Any who my pics to win are :

France - always play well on home soil, solid line-up top to bottom
Portugal - always play well at the euros, Ronaldo at his peak only a matter of time he shows up at an International tourney
England - actually have an exciting young squad, my dark horse to win

Germany is probably the best all around team, France is stacked but the backline is kinda eh.. England hsas the firepower but has similar faults. Would love a random team to go far again.

Good performance by England, not enough to take the W.

Tomorrow Croatia vs Turkey will be interesting.

Well England was certainly good for the first half, but seemed to slow down a bit in the second.

I laughed so hard when Russia scored to tie the game.

Serves Roy Hodgson right for his attempt to protect the 1-0 lead. (I'm not saying he has to bring attacking players on but, I hate sacrificing offensive players for defensive minded ones. It drove me crazy when my coaches would do it, and I was a defender.)

The lack of Netherlands saddens me. Although they have no one to blame but themselves. They're still the only soccer country on the planet that I have any connections with.
