It's worth pointing out that the article is rigid about position.

So for example, Sharp was chosen for the Blackhawks, even though Hossa was a better player.... but Hossa wasn't a better RW than Kane was.

Brooks Orpik sucked at the end of his tenure in Pittsburgh and has played more for the Capitals than the Pens this decade. His cup with the Pens was not even this decade.

Picking six players seems pretty dumb too.

dont really understand because sometimes their reasoning is a good season or sometimes its a good decade for that team

good example is right in the blues team where he has

backes>ror
but
binnington>moose or even allen

Some of the choices are pretty bad like Duchene over MacKinnon, for example.

For the Canucks I would put Boeser over Burrows. I know Burrows was great with the Sedins but Boeser with prime Sedins would’ve been even better.

Canes I would have gone:

LW - Aho
C - E Staal
RW - Teravainen
LD - Slavin
RD - Faulk or Pesce
G - Ward

Not sure why do many sites have Turbo as a LW, he's always been a RW since moving to the Canes, aside from a few stints at C due to injuries. They did the same thing for nearly a decade of Erik Coles career here as well.

Obvious/unarguable ones for Boston are Bergeron, Marchand and Chara.

I guess Pastrnak is pretty close to that territory now, he's just been a better version of what Seguin was for the Bruins when he was here. Still though, I do think there's an argument for Horton. I already reflect on his play in the playoffs as something I'd consider legendary. He only ever played in 2 playoffs and was an absolutely massive part of getting the Bruins to the Cup Final both times. Doesn't help that Pasta was very disappointing in this most recent run.

I'm pretty torn on Seidenberg vs. Krug but I think ultimately I'd go with Seidenberg. I don't even know how you can compare the two though, they are such different players.

I would never take Rask over Thomas in anything. Even though the games played heavily favors Rask, you can't just ignore Thomas' 2010/11 season.

Man, that NYI team is depressing. I would put Streit on the defence even if he only played a few years of the decade.

For Detroit, Abdelkador over Datsyuk, Nyquist and Tatar.

Yikes.

Wow, that's pure garbage.

Maybe Yandle over Ekblad.
Jagr over Dadanov.

What Jagr did to Huberdeau and Barkov was huge.

Dumoulin over Orpik. I don't see how an argument can be made for Orpik unless you're a generation X homer. Both played 4 seasons on the Pens as far as this decade goes. And Dumoulin has accomplished far more and is a far better player.

I would also squeeze Geno on LW instead of Kunitz. Geno plays LW on the PP and when on a super-line with Sid. It feels wrong to leave him off this list.

Geno - Sid - Kessel
Letang - Dumoulin
Fleury

If they're taking Binnington as the goalie, how are they not taking ROR over that useless goon-crybaby Backes???

I mean. ROR vs. Backes is a debate for you and others to discuss, but Backes was actually the captain and a really good player before he came over to Boston.

Man, the Kings won 2 Stanley Cups and their best LW for a decade was Tanner Pearson? Worst part is I can't think of anyone who should replace him.

The thing is, we never seen (yet) prime Boeser, if we compare prime to prime, Burrows win big time

I pretty much had the same picks for the Jets, although I was considering Laine over Ladd for his newsworthy factor
