I don't have any clue what this list is based on but it is obviously not based on having a clue.

That applies to 30 teams every year. It’s still better to have a yacht than not.
Weird, you guys didn't even having a winning record against the worst playoff team. The Oilers get a free pass playing the worst team in the playoffs yet again. What a joke. Easy to pad the stats.
It's a prediction based in part on how far voters think teams will go but everyone here is skipping over that right?Like 99% of the things ESPN does for hockey, it's shit
Sure it is.... Matthews at 1st definitely shows that to be the case. It's a prediction based in part on how far voters think teams will go but everyone here is skipping over that right?
Like the Leafs, driven clicks, attention and revenue.Played for the Maple Leafs. Lol.
Weird, the last time I checked, the Oilers weren't playing the Maple Leafs...The Oilers get a free pass playing the worst team in the playoffs yet again. What a joke. Easy to pad the stats.
These stats can be misleading for players who were slower starters and missed playoffs during that time.Frankly, I'm not even sure Matthews belongs on the list at this point.
Is there anyone in the league who elevates their game as much as Draisaitl come playoff time? The list would be short, that's for sure.

This is literally one of the guys who first broke the story, funnily enough.ESPN just felt really bad about Arizona, okay?
If they were actually the 2 best players in the playoffs, you'd think their team might have had a little more success in the playoffs?Any list that doesn't have McDavid and Draisaitl at 1 & 2 for playoffs can't be taken seriously.
Just more evidence that ESPN should have nothing to do with hockey.I don't have any clue what this list is based on but it is obviously not based on having a clue.
JT Miller 29 and Boeser not in top 50 in the playoffs makes it the dumbest list ever. Pettersson at 13 is funnyMight be one of the worst lists I’ve ever seen, lmao. Kucherov at #6 stands out as particularly gross given his playoff history and performance this season.
NHL Playoff Rank: The top 50 players, led by Auston Matthews at No. 1
With Matthews in the top spot, where do MacKinnon, McDavid and Panarin rank? What about the top goalies? Here's what our voters think.www.espn.com
That must be why Gretzky won all those cups when he left the oilers…If they were actually the 2 best players in the playoffs, you'd think their team might have had a little more success in the playoffs?
I said two players, not one. And he was no longer the best player by the time he went to LA anyway. So I'm really not sure what point you were trying to make. That must be why Gretzky won all those cups when he left the oilers…
I hate that I love him.
