I mean MacKinnon is #6 and Rantanen #9 all time in playoff PPG (minimum 50 points), and Makar has a Conn Smythe. They do have the pedigree.

ESPN decided to lean into their weakness with hockey and just troll everyone.
That list is comically bad. I’m a huge Matthews fan but he shouldn’t even be Top 10.

Yes- I couldn't agree more. Also how he played in the 2 Tampa Stanley Cup victories. Anti- Russian bias. Matthews atop the list makes sense to me. ESPN needs a storyline to draw attention to the NHL and promoting a US born superstar is about as good as they can get. They have to somehow find a way to tap into the Detroit, Chicago, Minnesota, St Louis markets to begin with.
