Good all-round defender. Puts up some points, and has improved by leaps and bounds in defense and physicality. Was an important player in last year's gold medal winning WJC effort, and has been one of Liiga's best defensemen so far this season. He leads the league in time on ice and has seen a lot of national team action already.
Lindell has great puck handling ability, can hold the blueline very well and has accurate shot from the point. While his shot isn't the hardest, he gets in through the screen. Lindell has fine passing skills and is able to give long passes out the own zone. Tends to shoot from bad angles intead of passing in the offensive zone.
Skating isn't bad for his size(6'3 200) but could use some improvement, especially with backwards skating.
Defense is good. Strong on the corners, good positioning and uses his stick well. Doesn't hit much but doesn't shy away from contact either.
Could be regular a NHLer next season, maybe a few months in the AHL at first.
