High Flight

Oh! I have slipped the surly bonds of earth
And danced the skies on laughter-silvered wings;
Sunward I've climbed, and joined the tumbling mirth
Of sun-split clouds - and done a hundred things
You have not dreamed of - wheeled and soared and swung
High in the sunlit silence. Hov'ring there,
I've chased the shouting wind along, and flung
My eager craft through footless halls of air...
Up, up the long, delirious, burning blue
I've topped the wind-swept heights with easy grace
Where never lark, or even eagle flew -
And, while with silent lifting mind I've trod
The high untrespassed sanctity of space,
Put out my hand and touched the face of God.

The Dark Hills

Dark hills at evening in the west,
Where sunset hovers like a sound
Of golden horns that sang to rest
Old bones of warriors under ground,
Far now from all the bannered ways
Where flash the legions of the sun,
You fade—as if the last of days
Were fading, and all wars were done.

- Edward Arlington Robinson

And a Poem that I try to live by, when I think of those who sacrificed for our freedom, or are putting their lives on the line each day, and find I am taking myself & my ‘problems’ too seriously.

As I Grow Old

As I grow old, the winds of life
Die down, the hate, the hurt, the strife
The waters calm, the waves go still
I hold no grudges, I wish no ill
To anyone, for from my heart
The ancient angers all depart
Joy is mine as new friends are won
Yes, as I grow old, I feel young

What are the line ups?
I already forgot...
Lest I... hmmm. ;)

Nice, Ginger Dude, and let us all have our own minute of silence today: and thank those that came before us so admirably.

Edit: Sheeeeeeit, I scrolled down so far on your original post -I now have 'tennis index'..'finger elbow'? "Scrollonopathy"

I joke, but well done good sir.
May we never forget.

Edit: and win the bloody game.

Dickinson with Garland and Podz on his wings.... ugh

When was the last time the Canucks had a 3C who wasn't an offensive black hole? Early Ryan Kesler days when he was behind Morrison and Henrik?

Every so often you see a players name and think "huh they're still playing? And for that team?"

Had no idea Darren Helm was playing for the Avs.

Damn he’s still playing….

Actually Helm was part of the 2005 draft, The Luc Bourdon draft. If Luc was still around he would be 34 years old now and most likely to retire soon. How time flies.

We look like we have an edge in the middle 6..

Wonder if they decide to match up Kadri to Pettersson or Horvat..

I wanna see the lines how they ended last game - the swapping of Dicky and Bo...

Podkolzin -Horvat - Garland
Pearson- Dicky - Hoglander

We will probably win tonight. That gets us to perfect mediocrity, which is what we are.

Hard game to figure.
Colorado should have the advantage
Home Ice, Altitude and a starting line up coming off injuries, possibly as many as 5 players returning.
They already have Byram who is lighting the scoreboard up and now they will get Makar back as well. This does not look good for the PK.

They have started off injured and slowly but they are well rested

Even without MacKinnon they can play.

The Canucks will have no answer to Kadri's antics.

I wouldn’t mind that but I do like how well Hog and Bo are playing together

Ideally both lines would be pretty dangerous if Dickinson had some offensive talent and give us 3 legit scoring lines
