“The sens” are not a person calling them up and getting an immediate response on something isn’t all that easy

Probably money. Same reason I go to work every day.

She's also worked at 3 different places since leaving the Sens in 2015. Lots of bouncing around for a C-level exec.

Hopefully she does well in the role.

Just unbelievable to post this type of thing like there aren't 1000's examples of disgruntled people leaving over and over again. Why did she come back? Probably because of money and she cant get close to as good a job anywhere else. Unless you are suggesting this is a well run business that has people clamoring to come work here.

My guess is she’s here to monitor and push the stadium development. Seems kinda funny timing the city is talking about Sens bidding for a new stadium and she gets hired the same day.

good luck Erin, I’m rooting for you. Ottawa needs a new stadium in the worst way. franchise future relies on it.

“The door is open,” Katie Paris told reporters on Wednesday. “We understand that the Senators owner has been vocal in the media about looking for another location for the arena. If it’s of interest of him or to the Senators, then the door is open.
“But we also want to make sure that we get going on this project,” she added. “So we are looking for other ideas and we want to make sure that we consider the whole range of ideas before moving forward.”

I can hardly even fathom the heights this organization could be taken to if Melnyk sold and a new arena with public funding was worked out. Just him selling would send shockwaves let a alone a badly needed downtown arena.

Familiar with Erin's recent work and she was doing a lot of M&A at Martello. For those not in the loop, that means she is had direct experience with the process in which an company or organization is sold. And for those concerned, there is zero risk of the franchise moving cities at this point.
