Midweek matchweek this go 'round, as the FA Cup fills the weekend. In terms of what to look out for, the Tuesday slate is highlighted by Newcastle visiting Aston Villa in a clash of sides that are looking to establish themselves among the elite in the league. On Wednesday, a London derby kicks off the day when Tottenham host Brentford, but the potential highlight of the day is a big 6 clash when Chelsea head to Anfield in what may be a preview of the Carabao Cup final.

And so it begins.
It’s been begun.

Tierney is statistically bad for Liverpool, and the eye test certainly backs that up. This isn’t even controversial.

But yeah what’s more Howard Webb than giving Tierney this game after a controversial performance against LFC in the previous game? Don’t see any lies here

Also no one says anything when the Chelsea fans comment that Taylor hates them. Just saying

So far seems like Forest’s strategy is to let Arsenal attack as much as they want in hopes that maybe they get tired and stop playing or something?

I dunno.

Luton up 1 after 20 seconds and 2 up after 3 minutes.
Sheffield United score within one minute also

I have no hope for the Villa match. We always get dominated at away games. No ball possession just hope for counter attacks

de Zerbi unsettled by those pesky Liverpool/Barcelona rumours haha
Brighton have been unable to keep goals out of the net all year, so this is nothing totally new. Something needs to change defensively though, no clean sheet in close to 30 Prem games.

He had the same problem at Sassuolo, his midfielders tended to be all better offensively than defensively

Fabian Schar of all people with a double away at Villa. A defensive line of Cash-Konsa-Lenglet-Moreno was never going to keep a clean sheet against Newcastle, but the game isn't over, this Newcastle team is tired and running on fumes.

Alex Moreno now with a nightmare play, puts the ball in his own net and then crashes full speed into the post.

Duran isn't on Villa's bench. If this is because Chelsea is going to buy him while selling Gallagher just LOL

Villa get one back in the 70th minute. Emery finally put Bailey on who proceeds to victimize Burn every chance he gets, and he assists Watkins for the goal.

The duran noise hasn’t gotten quieter, only louder this week.

Hasn’t been said but I imagine he’s who Chelsea goes for if Broja does indeed depart

Durán has a hamstring issue and is out until March (from what I've seen)

Bailey was apparently not 100% so Emery only gave him 30ish minutes.

We are badly hit with no Pau. He is the key in almost everything we've done and he's missed a month.

Matt Turner is the worst goalkeeper I’ve seen at Forest in 30 years, relative to the league we’re in. We’ve had some shockers but none as blindingly incompetent as that man.
