Hiroki Gojsic

He is born in Canada but has two distinct names which is totally Canadian awesome

I’m thinking he is also eligible for Japan and one of the former Yugoslavia states now countries

The under 18s are starting up soon

Dual citizens need to have actually developed somewhat in the country that they represent in IIHF tournaments. If this guy has only played in Canada, or has not played two consecutive seasons of hockey in another country where he is a citizen, then he is not eligible to play for anyone but Canada barring rare exceptions. If he only has Canadian citizenship then he has only one option.

I have no idea what citizenship this player has but not all countries are as loose with dial citizenship as Canada is. Japan for example does not make dual citizenship easy.

Possibly at least eligible to Japanese citizenship but that does not automatically grant IIHF eligibility and indeed Japan generally does not recognize dual citizenship of adults, making it effectively a non-viable path for a Canadian going forward unless he plans to emigrate and spend his career in the Asia League.
