I think the Canes would be better off keeping him and I personally wouldn't pay too much for him. We have a lot of middle 6 guys

Probably the right take. Guy like this don't have a ton of trade value and if you lose one, you have to turn around and find a replacement for the role he was playing. I can't see much upside to shuffling around players of this caliber unless there's a super-specific fit between the needs of the two teams.

Personally, I think Lindholm is better at center than he is at winger, but for some reason, Peters refused to play him there until the end of the season, where he looked better than he did as a winger.

Exactly why I think both teams shouldn’t do this
Canes need C’s and hopefully the new coach puts Lindholm at C
Rangers don’t need C’s.
A RW RHS would be nice but i’d prefer one with more offensive upside. Lindholm is good but he’s a good middle sixer, not something we really need and Canes need offense

Don't see anything the Rangers have in their system that the Canes would give up Lindholm for at present.

Interesting, I wouldn't want him for Chytil or Andersson as rags fan.

I wonder if most neutral fans would prefer him or taking a chance on one of Chytil/Andersson if they could pick one for their team.

Right that's what I mean, there's no real guys that would be expendable that would want to consider moving him for.

Probably depends on how close the team is to contending. In a rebuild you take Chytil/Andersson and don't think twice, if you're trying to make the playoffs now you take Lindholm and don't think twice, just IMO on that.
