Riz, is this from you guys? Is that why you've been here getting feedback on things? I'm right to be excited for this, right? This isn't some goofball knock-off, right?

Looks like SI and Sega?

Great news!

Yes, we are back. Not sure if the info is posted here already but here's the recap:
http://community.sigames.com/showthread.php/423297-Eastside-is-back

I see some of the Blueline links already posted for other preview stuff.

Oh yeah, and we'll be on Steam tonight (6pm UK time) with an Early Access version :handclap:
Does the game use the newgen system that FM does? Or still the regen system from EHM?

Congrats on the comeback, really pumped for this

The core of the old system is still there with some aspects of the player data getting recycled as basis for new players. Whereas in FM the new players are created totally separately, we still only create new players as old ones retire to keep the numbers balanced.

The new EHM system is kind of a hybrid system between the old and FM.

That makes sense, thanks for the reply :)

From the screenshots I'm seeing, the best part is it doesn't look like a total UI overhaul but rather just tweaking and reskinning. So it's not like you will have to learn a whole new game. Looks incredibly awesome and I'm sure having the knowledge of where the community has taken 07 will help in terms of customizing this new EHM (the 1974/1975 DB, where you start in those years). Hopefully there will be custom DB tools. Cool that you can import a custom DB.

I'm assuming size isn't such an overvalued quality in this one :sarcasm::laugh:

UI looks great so far from what I've seen. If you guys release a mobile app, I'll never be getting work done ;)

Holy **** that's awesome. I'll be getting this for sure!

I have only one question - has the player weight affecting hitting and ratings issue been fixed? That was my only real gripe with the previous game.

Here's a review already by Archibalduk from TBL:
http://gmgames.org/eastside-hockey-manager-early-access-ehm-ea/review/

It's given the most detail about the game from what I've found so far.

The preview I wrote is pretty useful too: http://www.ehmtheblueline.com/forums/viewtopic.php?f=23&t=13580

I wrote the review with users old and new alike in mind. Whereas the preview is very much geared towards the experienced EHM user that wants to know what's new.

There's a video I posted on Youtube of the new 2D zoomed view here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8Cr_6D24GNU

And you can download our first TBL Roster Update for EHM:EA here: http://www.ehmtheblueline.com/forums/viewtopic.php?f=77&t=13590
