OT: Edmonton and Area parents with kids in hockey

I'm writing a paper on the growing costs of playing hockey from novice to jr and was wondering if anyone on this board has any contacts with league workers or coaches that I could get in touch with to ask some questions and use as resources. I'd appreciate any help or direction some of you can give me. thanks.

I had 3 boys in the game for an average of 10 years each. I have had 1 girl in dance for 12. Her 12 years is more expensive than my 3 boys with their 30 years combined. Hockey is cheap vs competitive dance!!!!
Why is it that its always the bashing the cost of hockey? BTW, lots of contacts, I was heavily involved in all aspects, PM me.

The cost of hockey is extreme. I am quite happy my son plays baseball instead

all i know is my dad groaned when I wanted to play as a goalie in minor hockey back in 1993
