Cap wise it’s a push. Same term and only 50k difference in cap. Might be worth the shot to flip and hope a chance works.

Would Edm want an extra $900k next season to get rid of Manning for gagner?

Pass on manning!!! Please no! Gagner for spooner seems logical. Maybe Canucks eat $100k or something. Or a small add on either side to even out cap a bit.

Gagner doesn’t play on our farm team anyway. Really spooner could help out Utica (worst case) so don’t really see any risk in this deal. If anything it gives Gagner a chance. He’s a good guy and would like to see that for him.

Why would VAN fans care? Gagner is playing for the Marlies in AHL.. It will be all the same to them.
