Kinda sucks imo.

Purcell had a strong year and big picture isn't significantly worse than a Hudler.

This is a situation, ironically enough where waiting till deadline would have improved his value.

However a third isn't bad and while slightly below value it's nice to know we got something for him.

I've always thought Purcell was an excellent support winger. His price tag is just too high tho and we need more physical guys.

Purcell is a significant upgrade on guys like Gagner and Yak but not good enough to spend serious money term on.

how many times did I say we wont get a 2nd for him? did we get a 2nd nope we got what will end up being the third or fourth last pick of the 3rd round--my prediction was closer then nearly everyone elses-- 4th round starts at 91--the pick we got for Purcell will be about 88-- OH MY ****ING GOD I WAS WRONG BY THREE SPOTS

not even close, keep in mind that this season Purcell has played 8 more games and has played all year with either McDavid or Hall + Drai.

Hudler is significantly better than Purcell in every way.

You're just as wrong as the people who said we would get a 2nd. Probably more wrong cause you said 4th/5th so you we're anticipating that pick to be in the 110+ range. And I thought a 2nd was always a long shot, I thought the best we would do was a 3rd and a middling prospect so I was wrong too.

And personally I don't think the Panthers will make it to the Eastern finals, I'm guessing that pick is in the 80-84 range
