It's interesting seeing this name. Back in 2016 our ownership decided they knew better than an actual NHL GM and actual NHL coach, and took over and changed the direction that the team had been going. Which was up and up at that point.
Demers was one of the players they brought in that was supposed to be the "answer" I guess. I don't why the hell this would be a better situation than a young team who was turning the corner into a contender. Yes, Demers and Yandle was the answer over that . I will never forgive ownership for their meddling.

How was he in camp?
Could he still take a shift in the NHL?
He could be a stop gap on the Habs for a year if that's the case.

One horrid game vs. Calgary's full roster, and meh for the others.

I don't think he's NHL quality anymore; though I can see the Oil signing him for Bakersfield after they traded away Samo (which it looks like they will do). The team has zero RHD depth with NHL experience behind the 3 on the roster.

They could also sign him as a PB body, if the team would rather have Niemelainen and Broberg play big minutes in Bakersfield.
