Even Garry Galley was surprised that the boarding on Mac went uncalled. In real time too - he went "oh!", but not because of the board but because he thought the Isles were going to get a penalty as a result. Nauseating.
Good stuff from Tinordi. Keeping it simple. Playing within himself. Wish Lauzon would take some notes and quite doing stupid shit that results in goals.
Meanwhile, our hitters on our third and fourth line couldn't be bothered to target their D in a similar fashion as Mac has been run at all series.
How in the holy h e double hockey sticks is that not boarding? He slows up and shows his numbers and Nelson just takes a liberty there
I got called for it in the early 80s. Along with playing with a broken stick, it's one of those penalties you only know exist because you do it and get schooled by the ref on the way to the box, after you accuse him of making the rule up.I don't think it always has been. I thought I remember it coming up being a thing after Crosby flipped Horqvists stick to him mid play.
I could be wrong though
