Never been a big game goalie

I just think he’s old and washed up at this point.

It’s not like he’s a particularly good regular season goalie anymore either. Inconsistent at best.

Since 18-19 he had a good 21-22 season and a good but very limited number of games played this year. If he had played 20 more games there’s no way he’s a .930% goalie still.

The regression to what he is now is happening right now.

There was a game during a season against the Islanders that the Rangers really pushed in the 3rd down 1 and the Rangers before that had like a million comebacks in a row. Varlamov stole the show and they won. You never know. Especially with how many great opportunities the Rangers have missed.
