Quality of roster aside - Florida is unquestionably superior - 5v5 Florida chases quantity over quality with shots. They are nearly always going to outshoot the opposition.

Considering they went all in last year so much they killed their cap space for this year, and only had enough space to sign retreads like Shattenkirik, JVR, Heinen, etc it’s a lot to expect them to make the conference finals. That all those signings actually worked out is either credit to the coaches or dumb luck, most of us thought we were toast at that point and here we are in the 2nd round instead.

I’m really trying to keep all that in perspective. I wanted more though.

But the league directly made two decisions. Directing officials on how to referee a series is one thing. They personally made two specific decisions from 1,200 miles away that influenced the outcome of this series. And no one in hockey media will challenge it. Bunch of boot lickers that they are.

I hate the GI non-call but Boston was playing to lose long before that and obviously well after that turning point
