Series Talk: ECSF/ADF - Columbus Blue Jackets (WC2) vs BRUINS (A2) - Series tied 2-2

We finished game 7 at home and at least don't need to travel for an away game too soon - excellent regular season award.

Interesting match up, tough but exciting, kinda difficult to predict.

For everyone that was surprised ( me included) that we were outhit by the Leafs ... prepare to be outhit

Outhit is not always a bad thing, it can mean you just have the puck more

That being said, what you’re trying to really say is “prepare to be out toughnessed” which is definitely possible, but the bruins also like that game more than the speed game. We might not have as big of players as Columbus, but where there’s less mass, there’s usually more will. I’m looking forward to seeing a very engaged bruins team. I just hope no one takes a freak twist and breaks an ankle or tears an acl over a big hit

Lol looking over at the Columbus board they don't even have a series thread up. Pretty big change of pace from the Leafs, who had 50 threads dedicated to us as early as the offseason.

My main concern for this series is rest. They got a crap ton and we aren't getting any. Bergeron is definitely dealing with something (I think it might be a groin injury) and DeBrusk has seemed off since Kadri's bull****.

At the same time I do think this is a better match up. For one I think Chara will be a LOT more effective. He was ****ing horrific against the Leafs. Columbus plays a much heavier game that I think Chara will respond well too. Carlo also.

Bobrovsky is going to be the key. If he plays at the top of his game there isn't a whole lot you can do - best goalie around IMO. But once his confidence is knocked he can't stop a beachball. Drive the net hard immediately and try and get him rattled.

Should be a fun series. I don't hate these guys so I might enjoy the series more lol.

I think Columbus is a better matchup for us .They are a damn good team and Torts never gives up but we always have trouble with teams that really play a fast pace . Z shouldn’t get turnstiled as often in the next series hopefully . Really don’t know what to expect ... gonna be fun !

Plus I have junior national honor society induction ceremony tomorrow night for my daughter with a start time same as puck drop. going to have to be on media blackout until I can get home and watch. I will miss out on the GDT unless I can catch up but no idea how long the ceremony is.

Congrats to your daughter Scott. Expect it to last at least an hour and a half. Nice reason to have to be late to the party.

My high school's initials were OLN so I always got a kick out of that.

I signed on with OLN after they got the contract after the lost season. It was low budget and the studios and offices were in the basement of the Flyers arena in South Philly. OLN was owned by Comcast. (OLN was rebranded Versus for the 2006-07 NHL season)

Comcast bought NBC in 2011 and most of the key people running NBC Sports were not retained including Dick Ebersol, The NBC Sports of today is actually what was OLN.

Bruins are just too much unpredictible , we never know
We think they will come with knife between tooth they come flat and they just don't care
We think they are done , dead and they come with huge win

Hatred towards Dubinsky and Foligno will be at an all time high and I think the B`s do what the Bolts couldn`t and that`s light up goalie Bob.

I am pretty sure we will see the same fourteen forwards at some point in this series but does he possibly insert one or both tomorrow . I think I would give backes a go on line three but although interesting i dont think it is a major deal either way.

There's pretty much zero chance Frederic gets inserted unless there are an absurd number of injuries

I think this will be a very tough series and I don’t underestimate Columbus at all.

Bobrovsky has been on a stretch of excellent play, against Tampa and going into the playoffs. I think we’ve got a number of guys who are banged up already and I expect this to be a very physical series. I’d be surprised if this one was boring or a quick series.
