Syracuse galloped through their first round match-up winning the series 3-0 although they had to do with 2 OT games to test their nerves. Springfield won through without too much trouble - only dropping one game against Manchester (The third one 2-1). Every game that Springfield won was in OT. Ondrej Palat is having a good playoff so far with 7 points in 3 games whilst Springfield have been backstopped by Curtis McElhinney with a 1.74GAA.

I'm not sure if I agree with the comment that Springfield won without too much trouble when all 3 of their wins came in OT. I'd be a little concerned about their 2.5 goals for per game in that series as well.
