Oh thanks for lecturing me on the obvious. What you fail to understand is that forechecking rarely leads to such a perfect scoring opportunity.

Puck banking off Maroons skate was cause Maroon was in the right position pressuring the puck handler. The “lucky” bounce was earned.

And Benoit threw it up without looking cause he was pressured hard. And it hit Maroons skate because he was also pressuring hard. Don’t know why I have to explain this, forechecks are designed to cause turnovers and did exactly that on that play.

No but you increase your chances of that happening with effective forechecks. That’s was an effective forecheck. Any coach in the league is commending the forecheckers in that situation .
