I don't want to freak out over derek forbort or anything but my memory of last years blown 3-1 lead starts with completely unforced lineup errors so uh...i dont love to see it

I mean ok. But I can't see trying to take that responsibility off the coach and share some blame with others (just Don? Cam? The analytics group? Kelly? Who?). This is a decision owned by the coach.
I hear you, and I'm sure the evaluators are split, but this is idiotic. Somebody needs to step in. So I am going to witness a Wotherspoon-Forbort 3rd pair bungling the puck in their own end? It's like you're in the fast lane, clear sailing, but for some reason you say this is boring let me speed into a tree.

Worse yet, I am going to have to watch him vs Florida now after they take care of their light work?

This is legit horrible.

How many goals will Forbort singlehandedly cost the team? 2? 3?

More importantly, what sort of compromising material does Derek have on Monty? There is zero justification for playing him.
Shattenkirk was a PP specialist and the PP has turned it around but he has not been a huge contributor. Would it shock anyone if Forbort were just a PK specialist tonight. That would make sense to me.

Forbort would be replacing Shattenkirk who played 11:07 and 10:05 in the last two games respectively against the Leafs. Forbort at least provides the ability to play on the PK which Shattenkirk does not. Forbort being the lineup will at least make Lindholm's, Carlo's, and McAvoy's lives a little easier. Shattenkirk also has been moved off the PP units so the only issue I see with Forbort being in is if he's up to game speed or not.

The PK without Forbort is 10 for 11. Why roll him out at 5v5 to put him on a unit that’s been dominant?

What do the Leafs have in this series one Power Play goal?

It's a stupid game 5 lineup move again - when we're dominating them, we're going to put a previously injured player into the lineup in an elimination game. Again.

And he's not underrated. He's just not good is all.
You don't think he's a good player...Thinking many would disagree. IMO he's our best PKiller and much better d-man than Shat.

I know we are all a little edgy and feeling the effects of last years' debacle.

However, I'm not going to go lie down in the middle of the freeway IF Derek Forbert replaces Kevin Shattenkirk.

Deep breathes. Deep breathes.

The Quiet Corner
Series is over and the Bruins are moving on. The only question is do they wrap it up tonight or not.

Bruins have shown all season vs the leafs as well as the post season that they are the better team.

Embarrassing to entertain the thought that they will blow back to back 3-1 series leads.

Fans need to trust their team to do their job.

No it isn't over. The Bruins have a bad history of playing down to their opponent's level thinking they can just turn it on whenever they need to which has led to their defeat on several occasions. It is a distinct possibility they do the same tonight.

Like @Ladyfan I won't believe they've won the series until it is time for the final goalie hug & the handshake line.
