It was from the petty icing calls from earlier on they blew. Both of them were Engvall wining the race from well before the top of the circle.

If you watch the slo mo replay you'll see that Romanov was lifting one skate off the ice and was shifting his stride to the other skate, and Aho got his stick on that skate holding it back. Kinda hard to stay on your skates when you have none on the ice, right?
