Their 75 post-season berths are 2nd all-time in NHL history to MTL’s 85. - This is the 7th Round One series for Boston since the NHL adopted the format in 2013-14 and they are 5-1 in those series ... Overall, they are playing their 36th first round series (preliminary series, division semifinals, conference quarterfinals and round one series) with a 19-16 record entering this postseason ... They are 16-11 in those series which have been best-of-7 formats. - The Bruins enter tonight’s game with a 16-34 in best-of-7 series in which they have lost game 1 ... They have a 22-28 record in game 2s in best-of-7 series when they trail 0-1.

BOSTON vs CAROLINA, LIFETIME SERIES - The Bruins and Hurricanes have played their 7th lifetime playoff series with CAR holding a 5-1 series advantage ... They have played 36 games with BOS holding a 23-13 advantage in games and a 113-85 goals for/against advantage. - Their previous series was the 2020 Round One series which BOS won 4-1 . - Their 1st 2 series were played as the Hartford Whalers with a 4-3 Adams Division Semifinal win in 1990 and a 4-2 Adams Division Semifinal victory in 1991 - The previous 4 series have been played vs. the Carolina Hurricanes with a 4-2 series win in the 1999 Eastern Conference Quarterfinal, a 4-3 loss in the 2009 Eastern Conference Semifinal, a 4-0 sweep in the 2019 Eastern Conference Final, and a 4-1 Round One victory. - 11 Bruins - Patrice Bergeron, Brandon Carlo, Connor Clifton, Charlie Coyle, Jake DeBrusk, Matt Grzelcyk, Erik Haula, Brad Marchand, Charlie McAvoy, David Pastrnak, and Chris Wagner - played in a full series vs. CAR prior to this year.

HFD had taken a 1-0 lead into the 3rd period with BOS setting a club record with the six-goal outburst overall in the 3rd ... BOS has come back from a 3-or-more goal deficit to win a playoff game on 7 occasions, including on 4/11/1990 when HFD had carried a 5-2 lead into the 3rs period before BOS scored 4 unanswered regulation goals by Dave Poulin (1:28), Bob Beers (7:00), Dave Christian (8:10) and Poulin again with the game-winner (18:16) ... BOS won game 6 of their 2009 Conference Semi-Final series in CAR to force a game 7 for just the 2nd time in their history when they had trailed in a series 1 game to 3 ... Bos and CAR played their 2020 Round One series in a bubble atmosphere at Scotiabank Arena in Toronto, Ontario with virus prevention measures in place due to the Covid-19 pandemic ... Patrice Bergeron became the Bruins’ all-time leader in postseason overtime goals with his 4th career playoff overtime score at 21:13 of OT for a 4-3 win in CAR on 8/12/2020.

This team has to find a way to start scoring goals and fast or it's going to be an off season of what happened . Go Bruins.

They are bigger, faster, stronger, younger more physical..we have more experience , if Bergy, Marchy, Pasta, Hall play out of there mind we have a shot , honestly feel like I am watching a losing battle, rooting for the Bruins in the playoffs is hard, we are just not built for the playoffs, we are very soft, lose alot of puck battles to this team, its very frustrating to watch, that being said, go B"s
