Can't say enough about their play in the 3rd. Carolina had the best 3rd period goal differential prior to this game, and Bruins were +4 tonight.

Weird game. They did the job in the end but you can see the difference when you don’t have McAvoy out there for half the game 5 on 5. Both teams took dumb penalties. Us early. Them late.

Hurricanes have a lot more talented forwards then Columbus. With the Bluejackets you were sure they were either passing to the point or putting it on net. Canes made a lot of nifty plays.

One trend I've noticed - the B's have *really* struggled in second periods throughout the playoffs.

But especially since Game 7 against Toronto (with the exception of that three-goal, two-minute hiccup in Game 5 vs. CBJ), they've largely dominated the third periods. Obviously, boosted by the PP, but the Bruins dominated the third again 5v5. Making adjustments, wearing teams down, I'm not sure, but this team tends to get better as the game goes on.
