Just looked up the record from December out of curiosity.

Since December 1.

STL 36-16-6 for 78 points
CAR 34-20-3 for 71 points
BOS 35-17-5 for 75 points

All three teams finished strong

For more context as to why the Hurricanes are actually playing in the post-season...they went 4-8-1 in the month of December. So if you're math is correct, Carolina went 30-12-2 in 2019 (if the numbers above are correct and my math too). Don't know what the Blues or the Bruins did over the same time period, but something clicked on Dec. 31 (victory over the Flyers) and the rest is history...

I actually had run it from January 1, the first time. Going to add in SJ as well.

Stl 30-10-5 for 65points
Car 30-12-2 for 62 points
Bos 28-10-5 for 61 points
SJ 25-14-2 for 54 points

Still really close.

Methinks it was Dec. 28 when I was sitting on my couch after knee surgery and the B's were out of the playoffs picture and behind Toronto by 10 points. Very similar. I mentioned in the other thread that I was surprised that people picked Isles over Carolina in the second round. No crappy teams left in the playoffs and I'm not surprised by the results.

Nice GDT Ali !

Can the B's win this one without Charlie Mac? ...I say MAYBE.

Hope for a great game with no injuries to either team.

HERE WE GO BRUINS...HERE WE GO :clap:

Hey guys, just want everyone to know that if we lose tonight it's only because McAvoy is out and if the Bruins win it's because they used the McAvoy suspension as a rallying point to showcase their defensive depth. Thanks

Bases officially covered.

Thanks, we kind of know McElhinney's stats, both regular season and postseason. What @Roboturner913 and @Fenway indicated is that Brind'Amour hasn't yet announced who the starter will be tonight given that Mrazek seems to be ready to play and has been practicing with the team for a couple days now.

So conflicted. As a Sharks fan who lives in Boston and is married to a Bruins fan, I want them to go to the Cup vs SJ. But also, I think the Sharks would fare better against the Canes. Its a win win. Best of luck to both teams!

My daughter moved to Calif 12 years ago and San Jose is her second team (we always liked Big Joe).

She sometimes flies home when the Sharks are playing the B's. She will wear a Sharks T Shirt and her B's Zipped sweat shirt over it. My ST seats are next to the B's bench in Boston so we know the guys who work for the B's...they tell my daughter to "Zip up that shirt" so they don't have to see the Sharks logo.

I hope the b's win it all but the Sharks would be my second choice.

I just don't see any way in hell Carolina beats Boston. Prove me wrong PLEASE.

They are San Jose East.
They will pepper you with shots from the point, outshoot you, grind you down in the corners, and are quick on loose puck battles. Three-time Stanley Cup champion Justin Williams is clutch and so are Aho and Staal. Calvin de Haan is a dark horse. Dougie against Boston is also a dark horse.

Hey, I did my best with the info that was out there which was a combo of Daily Face Off and the articles from NHL.com

Wasn't a diss, I figured you just pulled it off one of the big sites

I just don't see any way in hell Carolina beats Boston. Prove me wrong PLEASE.

They beat the Caps, didn't they? I get it though, people want to go with the name brand.
