I went to the store and both of these skates fit well. They both are similar prices so I was wondering which ones I should get... Any advice?

P.S - What's the deal with baking skates? Can I do it at my house or do I need to have them do it?

Don't do it at your house. Do it at the store. They have to be baked at a precise temperature gradient, something your oven cannot do. It also takes quite a bit of practice to do it properly.

If they fit, pick whichever you want. They're low end skates.. so I'd first recommend to get something a bit better. You really do get what you pay for.

I've had 2 pairs of the 1500's and 1 pair of S17's, the Stealth line isn't that great, IMO. Based on my experience I'd go with the Synergy line. I'd also look at the prices of the 09 models of Easton skates and try to get those skates instead.

Get the 08 SE16 for $299 if you're set on Eastons. I know they weren't all that durable, but had very good performance.
