Hate to say it, but we will remember these last two subpar losses as the reason the Bruins exit in the first round. Hope I'm wrong.
can you "remember" the leafs end games?

leafs lost their last 4 games and gave up 22 goals doing it.

Leafs D sucks.
Leafs goalies don't compare.
Bruins in 5

It's always been that way ......obnoxious annoying fans who dont even watch hockey after their team is out.......no wonder thst don't know why it tales to win 4 rounds and a Cup
..they have never even watched any team do it.

I'm in the minority here but go back and look at Leafs history through 1967. Especially through the '60s.

They snapped up Detroit legend Red Kelly, a defenseman, converted him to center, and reaped championship rewards. Look at the goaltending tandem in '67.

They are, or were, a great franchise that won plenty of Cups with excellent clubs. The stench of Harold Ballard looms about them like Banquo's ghost.

That is as far as my superstition allows at this point.

I think you are right about putting Beecher on Mathews, not fair to the kid at this time in his career, would be nice to see at some point in time he could play that way. I would suggest that ALL ! Bruins should be hitting and leaning on Mathews trying to wear him down.

Seems like a no brainer to sic Charlie on him.

Nah. Charlie ain't all that. Spread it out.
But he does has to be better than he was in the first round last year.
Attack the leafs snd let them worry about how to play Pasta and Bruins.

Fine by me. I was responding to the idea of having Beecher shadow Mathews.

I like John Beecher. But I don't like him that much. At least not yet.

I'm just wondering why we should be worried about a single marks glove hand, never mind all of them. If I recall, the last Mark to play for the Bruins is Mark Recchi, and he's long retired.

My two worries aren't even on your list. I worry about injuries and the Bruins Power Play

I’m surprised you never seem to hear his name mentioned as a replacement when coaches get fired. I assume he still wants to coach.

He may or may not. I believe there was talk about OTT, which included Chris Kelly as well.

I think perhaps at his age (63) and given both his accomplishments and the absurd stress of being an NHL coach, Claude is happy as is.

I'll always be a major fan regardless.

You have nothing to worry about then.

Maroon is more likely to get the Leafs to do something silly than to do it himself.
Bruins PK is a strength still.
Bertuzzi is a defensive liability
Nylander and Marner are talented but so is the Bruins D and goaltending.
Matthews has not had a good playoff yet. Why would he start now?
So nothing to worry about.

I suppose I could worry about refs sucking, especially in T-dot but that's nothing new and we can overcome it I think. Overall I think this is the best match up we could have asked for and we will win in 6. Maybe 5. Hopefully everyone stays healthy for round 2 where they will all be needed.

Belle Fraser knows her stuff, as does affable NEHJ editor Evan Marinofsky.

No Spittin' Chicklits, Name The Canadian NHL Podcast garbage.

No, I don't care about your inane patter, your stupid nicknames ("Noodles" springs to mind) or incessant product placement foolishness.

You may not agree, but I doubt you'll go away stressed out or pissed off. That is something these days,
