Rank what will be the best team in the Eastern Conference. You can choose to pick what team you think will win the East and be in the SCF, OR what team you think will finish 1st overall at the end of the regular season, use whatever criteria you think is most applicable.

Here are the current Division setups:

Seriously underrating the Panthers.

EDIT - I've been voting Panthers every slot since the #9, let me explain myself a bit...

Their groundwork is STRONG. Add in a full season with Bobby Lu between the pipes, and you've got a winning recipe. Kids like Huberdeau, Bjugstad, Barkov are ready to take the next step. Luongo went 6-7-1 with a 2.46 and .924 after joining Florida last season. I also think, on top of the growth of their young guns, they improved significantly in the off-season.

Additions: Ekblad, Bolland, Jokinen, Mitchell, Montoya
Subtractions: Gilroy, Jovo, and no one else of substance

From NHL.com 30 in 30 so I'm sure it's not completely accurate

Jussi Jokinen - Aleksander Barkov - Brad Boyes
Jonathan Huberdeau - Nick Bjugstad - Scottie Upshall
Tomas Fleischmann - Dave Bolland - Sean Bergenheim
Tomas Kopecky - Brandon Pirri - Jimmy Hayes

Brian Campbell - Dmitry Kulikov
Willie Mitchell - Erik Gudbranson
Dylan Olsen - Aaron Ekblad

That's a strong defense in front of Luongo. I think this team will win some games 2-1, 3-2; and that they are going to surprise in a somewhat weak Eastern Conference. If they finish as low as 13th, I'll be pretty surprised.
