Gambrell hasn’t played in the NHL since November. He is a 22 year old center in his first AHL season with 28 points in 31 AHL games. He scored above a point per game in all 3 of his seasons in the NCAA and the Sharks board ranked him ahead of Josh Norris and Rudolfs Balcers in their annual prospect rankings during the off-season.
It will be very interesting to see which teams are scouting San Jose tonight in Winnipeg. I will update this thread with that information as soon as it becomes available.
San Jose’s biggest need is at least one top-6 forward and possibly also a #4C. What is he worth in a trade, and who might be interested?
