Hopefully the ketchup is still flowing from last night because I don't trust our defense against the speed of Hall and McDavid.

Bah another regional game on Sportsnet. Can't wait til the playoffs when I get to watch games in HD.

Defense needs to really step it up. The goals have been coming, but that doesn't mean the attention to defense should lessen.

Going to be a tough game...this team has been playing a lot of hockey.

Having said that, LET'S GO DUCKS!!! :walrus: :walrus: :walrus: Certainly been fun watching them the past few weeks. :)

I would say the Oil need Matthews so this should be easy but the Ducks have a fantastic habit of ******** the bed against bad teams.

So. Dunno.

Dear BB,

Can we please go to the fowler-despres, Vat-Bieksa, Lindholm-Manson pairings pleaseeeee?

If despres and fowler are still healing, just play them less.

Would almost rather lose so we don't help Edmonton in their quest for yet another #1 pick.

It will be a good test for our top 4 to have to defend two dynamic duos in Hall/Draisaitl and McDavid/Eberle.

Hoping we don't get sucked into another track meet, I don't think it'd end as nicely this time. Tight defense tonight, make the Oil work in the corners.

Any word on who's getting the start for us?

I read that it's Freddy again tonight and possibly Gibby in Vancouver. Eric Stephens Twitter, I think.

Kind of surprised they are going with Freddy again. Guessing Bruce has zero confidence in Dobby.

I'm pretty worried about this game, I can easily see this being another Pens game.

if the defense is just like last night, Freddie's gonna get lit up.

Defenseman Kevin Bieksa adds, “We have some very important games coming up. Our identity has changed a lot. I think we found our identity. At times last game we were trading chances which is not our game. When we’re good defensively and we’re giving teams 20 shots or less per game, we’re a tough team to beat.â€

20 or less shots in 2 games: http://hkref.com/tiny/QB7Yx

EDIT: 8-6-2 record in games allowing 24 or less shots.

Woo! Undefeated with 20 shots or less!

...aww. :(

I'm excited for this game. I feel like it's an opportunity to get de-railed against a mediocre opponent. Which means it's absolutely also an opportunity for the Ducks to shine with PK, work the boards, and stand up at their blue line.

Avoid turnovers in both zones and I'll let Edmonton pass the puck around the perimeter all day long.

This kinda cements the sneaking suspicion I had that Casual Kev isn't a very smart dude :(
