I quite like Malgin. I don't think he's ever gotten the best hand as a NHLer... way more skilled than you'd think by his numbers. A natural center even if he hasn't played it much in the NHL. Quick more than fast, good vision, creative.

Meh who knows... Malgin has some upside and enough skill he might fill in okay as a top 9 center until MacK gets back. I doubt he really does enough to stick long-term, but it wouldn't completely shock me either. Hunt is nothing more than a physical 4th liner, but his odds of sticking in that role long-term are much higher than Malgin's in his role. I like the shot here though.

Doubt Malgin will be anything more than a healthy scratch for the playoffs. If he can do something until Mack comes back the trade is fine, Hunt is crap but more suited for a depth role.

Malgin seems like he has to score or provides nothing. So an OK band aid until Landy and MacK come back then he gets waived?
