Selling and sucking does wonders for that.
I suppose, but considering the shape of this team 3 years, with no prospects and a ton of bloated contracts, it's wild we're in the position we're in. Having 1+14 this year plus two firsts next year? Add in prospects like Musty, Bysted, Halttunen, Smith, Bordeleau, Havelid... it's nice to see light.

Awesome; I'm glad the Sharks won. Cool story drafting Celebrini there!

Also, the Sphere is going to be a nuts venue for the draft - that sounds fun!

Flames would rather take Iginla at 9th

The Sens will probably take him if he's available. He has a famous name that fans will love and the new GM needs to appease the fanbase after some horrid first moves.

Plus the Sens need more former NHL star sons.

So do we think Celebrini is a better prospect than Bedard was?

Honestly as far as projecting as an NHL center goes I don't think he's as far off as this forum would have you think. Celebrini much better attention to detail defensively, bigger, faster, and while his shot isn't all world like Bedard's is it's still pretty damn good. Clear edge to Bedard on stickhandling, edgework, and playmaking.

Man Celebrini is awkward as hell lmao I love it
The kid should had known that SJ had the highest % chance to get him. With Will Smith, it’s gonna be a big building block of the reconstruction over there. Lots of work to do to surround them properly, though.

This looks pretty realistic -- would piss off some NJ fans. Even without the trade, you see Silayev and Iggy off the board before 9.

Only quibble is SJ will not pick Connelly. Very low** (edit) chance, both because of player type and off-ice / attitude. guessing Grier will go Sennecke (if he's still available like this lineup) or if not, then either MBN or Chernyshov is my guess. Probably too early to reach for Jiricek here, even though D is what we'd need.
