America Braces For Daylight Saving Time - And Missing Medical Records - Slashdot

While many of my devices automatically change their internal clocks, my car and other clocks require me to reset time twice a year.

Now it's reported that some medical software can't handle the time change (it "looses" data input between 2am PDT and 2am PST).

Plus there are studies that show business slowdown (quoted above). And our energy consumption goes UP.

(I recall reading/experiencing increased traffic accidents at time changes as well.)

Maybe I should have moved to a state that doesn't change.

It's under consideration in the EU as well. It was planned that each country would pick whether they prefer summer or winter time and after 2019 winter time switch, it would have been the last time for those countries picking that time. But Austria raised an issue when it comes to air travel and businesses and the decision is now delayed until 2021.
