I think Tomasino is going to be a flip for another player of his development path that hopefully fits Bruno's style better. It'll just be trying a different guy that's on the verge of washing out with his own team.
Yeah, he's either that or a throw-in as part of a bigger trade, if we were trading with a rebuilding team that felt they could take a look at him. But he's not going to get us anything of any real value, alas.

We're just going to have to cross our fingers something happens to get him fired up for our team instead, that's probably the only slim chance we have at resurrecting any asset value out of him now. :(

The Ads host the Texas Stars in Game 4 of the WC semi-finals.

Karl Taylor is 9-3 in elimination games as the Milwaukee coach.

During warmups I saw #17 Crosscheck Pettersen; #22 Bourque the Bad missed the net on 2 of 3 shots from the top of the right circle. May that continue during the game. I did not see Fred "Goalie Slasher" Karlstrom. Maybe he was cowering in the lockerroom?

Gravel and McKeown on D. Campbell, O'Reilly and Kemell up front with Troy in the net.

McKenzie just snowed Troy. Two for Unsportsmanlike Conduct. That is a poor example for a team Captain! Gravel crushed him on the endboards. Troy had the puck covered when he was 20 feet away. L'Heureux with the post tap in PPG, assists to Parsnip and Ufko. Nearly 13 minutes remaining. Ads with 1 goal on 3 shots. Now 2 goals on 4 shots!!! L'Heureux with a breakaway from the far blueline. It was a wrist shot inside the right post from 10 feet. Poirier is weak on that side. Texas for Hooking with 10:38 remaining. The Stars killed the minor to remain down 2-0. 8:25 to go in period 1.

Bichsel checked Ozzy after the late whistle for icing. Texas hitting people high twice and no call. Scrum along the boards results in a pair of minors. What a joke after what has not been called. Egor and #27 Becker in the box for Roughing. Texas with too many men on the ice, no call. The extra guy played the puck before the other player got to the boards. That is 100% a penalty. These two linesmen can't count and can't drop the puck!

With 2:27 left, SOG 7-4 Ads. SOG end 8-4. The linesmen got between the teams as soon as the horn sounded.

Texas scored 5 minutes into the period. McKeown over skated his man just outside the blue line and he hit the top corner glove side to make it 2-1 Ads. Mutter knocked down 2 Stars at the same time, then got called for Roughing. That was the least for Roughing that I have seen all season. Mutter gets checked in the NE corner 5 seconds after the whistle and no call for that.

Felhaber clears the puck, then has to fight his way to the Ads bench. He was bumped by 3 Stars. Why is that not interference? Texas tried to change a player on their icing. Ref Cody Beach told him to get off the ice. The Texas Stars are shady!

Karlstrom punches Ozzy in the chest after the whistle. Ref #49, Riley Brace was looking right at it and called nothing. After two periods, it is 2-1 Admirals. The total SOG are 17 each. The Ads had 3 minors in the period and Texas had none. They should have been called for two obvious ones!

Period 3 begins with #12 roughing up Ozzy after the whistle. No call. Bourque with a high hit next to a linesman. Ozzy hit Bourque back at the end of the shift. L'Heureux just checked Bourque. The Ads are throwing a blanket over Bourque.

There have been 2 faceoffs in this period that were held in the wrong zone. That is the idiot linesmen again! I have never seen Gravel throw so many checks in a game. I think he truly dislikes the Stars. I agree with the Admirals Captain, they are a dirty Chicago Wolves like team that bends the rules into a pretzel.

Out of nowhere, on a broken play, Tomasino scores the biggest goal of the season!!!!! Assists to Ozzy and Svechkov. I think it went off of the Dman's skate right in front of Poirier. That shot came from near the blue line, again on Poirier's right side. Six minutes remaining. TV time out with 4:06 left. Poirier skating around to warm up and he goes off before the face off. Just 2:34 to go. ENG at 1:18. Now 4-1 Ads. It was Parsnip from nearly 200 feet of distance.

Stars of the Game were L'Heureux, Tomasino and Grosenick.

L'Heureux has 6 points in his last 2 games.
Tomasino with the insurance goal.
Troy saved all but one tonight.
The Ads had the only PPG tonight.

Poirier has allowed EIGHT goals in 2 games. They have to jump on him right from the start and get more SOG than 23. He did save about 87% tonight

I hope for a big crowd on Mothers Day. Tonight it was 5300, up from 4651 on Wednesday night. Both were boisterous!

Edit: Karl Taylor is now 10-3 in elimination games. I think the Sharks will hire him and we are stuck with Bruno.

If he stays out of the box, he can be more productive. He is a valuable asset on the ice. In a world where things tend to get loose in the playoffs, his gamestyle really gets to shine

Grosenick seems to be the answer for the Admirals..
As I said before, Troy is very steady in goal.

He doesn't roam far from the net. He isn't afraid to let the air out of the puck, which counters the high flying fire wagon style that the Stars like to play. He limits their chances to score.

Askarov sort of plays into the Texas style of game. That maybe part of why the season series was only 5-3 Admirals.

Milwaukee is f***ed.
Amazing that both teams had such long win streaks and are gonna be done after round 1.
The Texas fans are now saying this after the Stars have allowed 9 goals in the last 2 games in Milwaukee.

Troy Grosenick allowed 4 goals in those same games.

Game 5 on Sunday at 5 PM sets up like this:

Grosenick versus Poirier in goal. The Admirals need to pour shots on the right side of Poirier, it is his weak spot.

Schaefer comes back like Ben-Hur from the Roman triremes. Campbell did well in his spot, but Schaefer is dangerous on offense and defense. Speaking about offense, how about L'Heureux and Tomasino having 3 goals each? Parssinen with 1G and 4A. L'Heureux also has 4 assists, Del Gaizo is 4th in scoring for Milwaukee.

The Admirals have scored 3 PPG to the Stars 2 PPG in the last 2 games. Texas has a deadly PP, so the Ads PK has been very effective. AC Scott Ford runs that for Milwaukee. Well done Fordo!

The penalties went from 18 (11-7 Texas) in Game 3 to 8 (5-3 Ads) in Game 4. The call against Mutter was wrong and Texas got away with a few. The Stars went 0 for 4 on the PP. That was a key to winning.

Bet on the Admirals to win at home and on Texas to cheat. It will be the second Alamo, the Texans will be bombarded and lose.

Didn't the goalie thing happen last year? Askarov struggled early. Troy took over, then Troy struggled in Round 2 and Askarov took back over?

Yeah it seemed like Askarov last season more or less hit the wall from having a lot more play time than he had ever had before.

Game 5 between the Admirals and Stars, just like last season!

I expect Grosenick 2.00 GAA, 93% versus Poirier 2.70 GAA, 90% again. No, it is Kraws! He had 7 saves in Game 3and is 6'5".

Statsney will play. Gravel and McKeown on D. Schaefer, O'Reilly and Kemell, with Troy are the starters.

Kemell takes a shot to the face from 15 in the first 12 seconds. Ads score at 43 seconds!!! L'Heureux with assists to Wilsby and Parsnip. And another goal at 58 seconds!!!!
L'Heureux with helpers from Parsnip and Egor. The crowd did not have time to chant.
Kraws gets 2 rounds of chants. Loft digging at Mutter's legs after the whistle. He gets a headlock for his offense. Texas holding Parsnip's stick in the neutral zone. Weisblatt jumped by 3 Stars! He gets 2 for Roughing!! Gravel Xchecked into the boards and no call. McKenzie was involved in both incidents. Stars score with an assist to ref Cody Beach! Refs you suck, indeed. Gravel was talking to Beach before the face off with 12 minutes remaining. SOG 5-2 Ads.

Ufko punched in the face in front of Beach, no call. Fake icing called on Ads. Tomasino held in the O-zone, called by Hamilton with 6:22 left. O'Reilly scores 8 seconds later. Stars knocked the net off. Good PPG. Assists to Ozzy and Kemell. 3-1 Ads on 8 shots. Schaefer was highsticked and Ufko was punched in the face 10 seconds after.
Stars hooked the Ads puck carrier (Zach) at the Blue line and no call. SOG 9-7 Ads.

Poirier in net to start period 2. The ice looks soft. A couple of players slipped in the first minute. Statsney got mugged for 15 seconds by Pettersson and no call. Kemell 2 minutes for Interference. The replay showed nothing, ref Cody Beach!!!!

McKenzie hit Gravel in the head with his stick and no call by Cody Beach who was looking right at it. McKenzie needs a seat in Row 3! He is a DIRTY team Captain and the refs let him play that way in all 3 games here. A lot of choppy play to get to 7 minutes remaining. L'Heureux's Tripping was a clean hip check. Then 33 punches L'Heureux and he gets nothing. That was Hamilton on the Bad, Bad call. That is 2 phony penalties in this period. Tomasino called for Highsticking by Beach. It was iffy at best, so 3 phony penalties in the 2nd.

Texas goal immediately waived off by Beach. The whistle blew, then Troy was pushed into the net by McKenzie and another Star. Del Gaizo and #33 jabbed each other with their stick toes 3 times and Beach called nothing. Parsnip hit the pipe with 10 seconds left. That would have been the dagger! Poirier looked behind for it.

Period 3 began with the refs booed mildly by fans. Karlstrom claiming that L'Heureux lifted his foot. That is totally incorrect! Ads puck carrier pulled down from behind in the first minute and no call by Hamilton. Del Gaizo got a real penalty for Delay. Another Stars PPG, over Troy's left pad. It should have been 4-on-4! Gross wins a footrace for icing. Another icing by Texas. Ozzy just ran over the much larger Bichsel. Back for Slashing. Svechkov with the wrister to make it 4-2. Assists to Kemell and Cal O'Reilly. Egor takes a stick to the face by the Ads bench, no call. Mutter throws a check and #22 slashes him for 2 minutes. Svechkov tripped on the PP. Parsnip on a blatant trip. It was Back. A heavy shot on the 5-on-3 hit something.

Parsnip hauled down by his armpit, swung around on the ice and no call. The fans are screaming at the refs. That was 100% a penalty!!! McKenzie starting trouble at the Ads bench and no call. Egor being held in the NW corner and no call. The clock says 6:22. Plenty of time for a line brawl. Back Slashing at the glass after the whistle. Parsnip knocked down McKenzie behind the goal. Texas with 7 skaters and a goalie. No call. 4:11 left. Poirier off at 4:06. ENG by Schaefer with 2:42 unassisted.

Texas laying on Troy and the goal is called good? Now 5-3 and "refs you suck" breaks out. Texas arguing icing call. Now 9.6 seconds left. Texas takes a TO because the Texas Stars SUCK!!!!!!!!.

WE WIN 5-3, Troy is fired up!!!

The Admirals scored 14 G in 3 games at home versus Texas and outdid the #1 PP
in the AHL.

Edit:

After the game, McKenzie hugs ref Cody Beach for an extended time. After shaking hands with the Ads, Texas shakes the refs hands.

ONLY Troy shakes hands with Cody Beach.
The rest of the team shakes hands only with Hamilton! Bad blood there?

At one point, early in period 3, the penalties were 5-1 Admirals. Then Texas got 3 minors in less than 3 minutes.

Both of those items are interesting!

4833 fans saw the game on Mother's Day with the Brewers playing St Louis in the PM.
