Went with a full rebuild, gutting the team I got and moving for pieces to help in the future. A good handful of my players if not already on their respective NHL clubs, will most likely be on their team (or competing hard for a spot) next year. Personally, I feel I'm strongest on defence as all 6 of the guys I have on the futuristic roster are projected to be top pairing defenders eventually in the NHL. Great talent up front and in net as well; Nick Ritchie - Bo Horvat - Jake Virtanen would be a pain in the ass of a line to play against IRL.

Please vote for the NEW YORK ISLANDERS to win the Rebuilders Cup!

My Buffalo team is rebuilding-on-the-fly, though NOT tanking. It is a team that could develop youth against the highest level of competition without the discouragement and setbacks of being too uncompetitive. It'll compete for a playoff position most of the year while rebuilding the squad through top-level pro development on the philosophy that tanking is not the best way to develop young talent but instead playing competitive hockey with a chance to win every night is the way to go to develop talent at the NHL level.

Vote Buffalo as a rebuilding-on-the-fly squad. It's all young NHLers who have already proven they can make the jump to the NHL level and yet still have their best years ahead of them! It's geared to be fully rebuilt for cup runs in 3-5 years (not 6-9 years like some; this is not the NHL's Oilers way to rebuilding!)

**** you all. Truly. OUT.

(I ain't wasting another second here...)

Don't be mad at me and send me PMs telling me to "go to hell." All I'm doing is running a game here where people sent votes to me and I tallied them up and post them :help:

----------

Looking for a few more votes before I close Round 2.

Should I throw the finals up in the polls or do it via voting here? (either way, it's still going to go through the random.org process to determine the series)

I'm leaning more towards the polls for more opinions....

No doubt Drouin, McDavid and MacKinnon is good but personally I feel we beat them in depth/overall talent, better defenders with crazy ceiling (all projected to be top pairing) and more elite goaltending if you were to compare the two.
