I'm sure Pasta is very aware of his surroundings, I am not sure he expects to he hit that long after he shoots the puck from that area of the ice.

Definitely a penalty & totally an unnecessary hit but can't tell if there's head contact & until we see a better replay there's nothing more to say.

Like the Bruins or not this has to be a suspension. Blind sided late hit on a superstar winger in the league can NOT be tolerated. A couple a games for this punk so hopefully he learns this type of cheap shot hits on star players comes to an end. As a fan of hockey this cant be seen as acceptable

Perhaps it was a cheap shot against the fanbase that posted this, considering the team's reputation over the years as 'tough guys', but calling for a suspension on this hit is ridiculous. Sure it's blindside. Sure it's even a cheapshot and interference and deserves a penalty.

There's this thing called logic and context, and it (should) apply to all situations.

As long as the PA defends actions like this nothing is ever going to change (and it's not). All they have to do is get serious with discipline from hits like this...it'll take a season but it'll be almost erased.

Hitting a guy that late and blindsided is far from a strong hockey play. How about moving your feet and not farting around on the ice being so far behind the play so you could actually hit him clean.
