How will the Blackhawks get it done? They have to re-sign Kubalik, Strome, and two goalies. They have $7.4M in cap space. With this flat cap, I can't imagine many takers for contracts like Maatta, Shaw, or Smith.

Maatta has value
Shaw doesn't, he's going to stick around.
Caggiula will get traded
Smith has value at 50%.

Shaw is the only questionable one. Maatta has only 2 years left, Smith only one so the "negative value" you guys claim they have isn't true. Are they going to get much of anything in return for Smith and Maatta? No. But to claim they have to attach assets is false.
