we've had some stupid cubs fans coming through here and telling us how great they are.

one in particular claimed that the cubs likely wrecked the pirates in the one-game playoff and "knocked them back to reality". it's been a bit of a running joke lately.

I don't agree with the "context' but I do think the Pirates will not be as good next year.
